Food portion small while extremely pricey. Injera cold and I told the waitress I would like it warmer, she said "oh" but didn't do anything.

Meskerem is always a lovely experience. Not only are its Ethopian dishes savory and authentic, but its servers are always attentive, and its atmosphere is relaxed.

I would not go back because there are several equally good or better ethiopian restaurants closer to my home with great parking.

Great place for vegetarians and vegans. The food was good and the service was really exceptional. Our server checked on us unobtrusively several times and we always had water and got more injera promptly when we asked. I love the spicy red lentils! I thought the potato salad was a weak spot, but you can't win them all.

The servers need to be a little more respectful. They were extremely rude when taking even a simple request of hot water.

I had not been to an Ethiopian Restaurant for a long time, but my daughter was coming in from Houston and I she had introduced me to Ethiopian food years before at another Ethiopian restaurant in the DC area, which I have visited many times. Meskerem smoked this old tried and haunt and will now be my "go to" for Ethiopian food. The food was magnificent, beautiful to look at, delicious to eat and the service was exceptional!
