I had a dish of pasta that was excellent. They made their own pasta which was perfectly cooked & was tender. There were LARGE shrimp in the dish. I also had salad with house dressing that was very pleasant. 5/13/2013 12:13:27 PM

I had high expectations since the couple we were dining with had eaten at Sedona previously and enjoyed the experience. When we arrived our friends were already seated in the patio area and we joined them. After almost 30 minutes we were still waiting for someone to come by and take our drink order, say hello, anything. We finally flagged a server down and ordered drinks. An apology was made, something about not knowing we were added to the party. That still didn't explain why they weren't checking on our friends that they knew were sitting there. We ordered three appetizers (sliders, ahi lettuce wraps, calamari). All were okay but nothing special. The manager sent another appetizer to apologize. I'm not sure what it was but consisted of arugula and thinly sliced meat. It was a nice gesture; however, it would have been nicer if they would have simply offered to give us one of ours for free. I ordered the salmon and found it to be very salty so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't care for heavily salted items. The purple rice on the side had absolutely no taste. The atmosphere was nice, the food was beautifully presented, but really didn't have much flavor. I ordered the Halibut with jalapeno-creamed corn and asparagus, because I really wanted to try the corn, and though the corn was good, it was missing any jalapeno--you couldn't see or taste it. My husband had the bacon-wrapped scallops, and again, the presentation was great, but he said the scallops had no flavor of their own, only bacon. The dollops of mashed potatoes with peas he said he could have made himself. We did like the $8 appetizers for happy hour, which were the Thai-chili chicken wings, and the calamari.
