Basically, this restaurant's food is only "ok". The service was what got me upset. No one greeted us when we first walked in. We seated ourselves and the waiter noticed us but then still took his time before actually bringing us the menu. I checked the restaurant's website before coming and knew beforehand that the restaurant had separate menus for lunch and dinner. The lunch menu has everything on the dinner menu except for a lower price. A full rack of ribs during lunch is only $19.99 and for dinner it is $21.99. We came in at 2:00 which is still the lunch hour - Dinner hour starts at 4:00pm - still - my brother and I were given the dinner menu and charged for the dinner price. My brother and I did not bother to point out the difference in the lunch and dinner price because obviously, if a restaurant already wants to be dishonest to their customers then there's really no going back once they've done it. I don't like to argue with restaurant waiters because I fear they would spit in my food or do something just as bad. Overall - service was slow and dishonest. Will I ever come back? Kayak has great potential, however, it is not very welcoming. We came one night for cocktails and another for dinner and did not feel welcomed either time. For a smaller venue such as this in a residential community, it would be nice to have received an introduction or a name of our server so we get that sense of community. I take pride in being a resident in our community and search for small businesses like these that we can support as part of our community.
