From the very beginning that we walked up to the door the young lady was very kind and helpful. We had a great waiter who suggested a great appetiser. We had a delicious meal. Very clean and nice place. Enjoyed the music. 5/16/2013 10:14:01 PM

It seemed every wine we ordered off the wine list was available only in a glass or two. No full bottles in the spanish wines we desired were available. The artichoke dish was simply terrible. Tough and truly and inedible . Bring back the rolitini which was simply a fabulous dish! Pork saltimbucco great. But cold pesto pasta on same dish was simply horrible. 4/25/2013 10:10:59 PM

one soup and three of the four entrees arrived cold. There was a substitution of a side dish without asking our input. We ate there twice in Feb. 2012 and had a wonderful experience. This trip in April showed that that the "A" team was not on duty. We were told that there had been several staff changes. This is our third dining experience at Sage, and our least favorite. The other two times the food was excellent. We recalled that service had been slow and made reservations to arrive early (two hours before our showtime) and just as the restaurant opened. There were only a few customers present when we arrived. It took a while for the waiter to take our drink orders, then longer to order food. No breadsticks were brought to the table before or during our caesar salads (which were not of the quality from our previous experience), and bread was brought only when we requested bread while eating our entrees. There were five skinny breadsticks, which we donated to the two in our party who were having soup. The person who ordered seafood Paella commented that it needed more saffron. My Trio of vegetables was noticeably smaller and less tasty that when I ordered it previously. At the end when we got the check the tip was handwritten in a way that made the actual 20% gratuity ($22.43) look like $27.43. Because we were late I paid the additional $5 for tip, realizing that the bill seemed more than it should be, and checked it when I arrived home. As a former vegetarian, and now vegan with my husband, we want to support this restaurant that bills itself as vegetarian-friendly, however, this was not an experience that makes us hopeful for its future. 4/7/2013 10:27:46 PM

Dinner was a huge disappointment. 1) We called for a 6:30 reservation, and they asked us to come earlier. We did, and the restaurant was mostly empty, so why did we have to change? 2) They were out of the wine I ordered. 3) They were out of two menu items, had made other substitutions that the waiter told us about, and one substitution -- TROUT instead of SMOKED SALMON on the antipasto -- that he didn't. He said they're changing the menu, and apparently we got the leftovers. This was our anniversary, and we picked the restaurant specifically. We probably will not go back. 3/7/2013 6:04:57 AM

Had two paella dishes and both resembled vegetable soup at best. Have had paella in Madrid and NYC many times and was stumped!!! Broth for both dishes was lukewarm, and minimal seafood in the house special. We were very happy with the overall experience with Sage. The only thing thast could have made the night better was to have had more vegetarian options on the special day menus. It was the Valentine's Day menu with only one option for us to choose down the course list. I felt very upset with that considering so many vegetarian friends recommended this restaurant to us due to its veg options. Not a good first experience with the menu, but we plan to try it once more to give it a fair chance on the special day menus. 2/16/2013 7:06:46 PM
