The server (seemed to be the bartender filling in) brought bread to the tale, but no butter. The tablecloth was Brown packaging paper. The server did not make sure the "no salt" meal was specifically delivered to the person who ordered it, when the similarly ordered meals arrived.

It was Lois' birthday. Our reserved table was ready upon arrival and adorned with fresh red rose petals. Our waiter provided excellent service and also accomodated our need for a warmer environment. The food was excellent and compliments to the chef are in order. We definitely recommend the Black Duck for their excellent service and fabulous food.

Enjoyed the crab cake, the duck 2-ways and the rabbit/veal sausage was tasty however the potatoe/eggplant salad seemed lacklustre and dry. I would suggest either a german potatoe salad or a mstard-type potatoe salad.

Our orders took extremely long to arrive, however, when they did, the food was delicious. Nonetheless, it was an overly long wait.

We were lucky to have a table for two without previous reservation. There was jazz music may be because it was Saturday evening. The musicians played very well.
The service was very attentive. Thanks Rich for the maglite to give us extra light to read the menu.
We both had an appetizer of delicious mussels to share. This was followed by a nicely done hanger steak each one of us. The meat was tender and it had some kale and other vegetables in the sauce.
This restaurant is at the ground floor level next to the Park South Hotel.
We have come to this restaurant other occasions and it has been very consistent with the good quality of the food and the excellent service.
We certainly highly recommend it.

The service was good but the portions were really small. That was disappointing. My husband ordered the chicken and he was served a very small chicken leg and wing from what looked like a baby chicken. I was shocked when he got his food. Plus he said it didn't taste good.

Servers were good on specials and gave my wife a free dessert since it was her birthday!

I think that the level of the recorded music is too loud. We were there on a not-so-busy night, and the music level is just too high. This opinion comes from one who is himself a professional musician.

The server made the experience that more enjoyable. The ambiance was welcoming. I enjoyed the music selection except occaisionally a "hard rock" song slipped in that was out of place.

I enjoyed the Long Island Duck. It is perfectly seasoned and cooked medium. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable.

The service was extremely slow even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. The manager kept apologizing not just to my table but also to the neighboring table.
