The ambiance was quite nice and friendly...
The menus were a bit unclear.
The waiter was very curteous. He tried to explain the menus and the cultural aspect of how the food was eaten.
The food was good and well prepared by not to my taste.

This is a great place to be introduced to authentic Ethiopian food. Upscale in a way but very relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced. We loved it!

My wife, two young children, and I went to Lucy's early on a Friday evening. Suzani, the owner, made us feel very welcome. We explained that we had only once before (a long time ago) eaten Ethiopian food, so Suzani helped us order two combination plates: one meat, one vegetarian. For two adults and two children, big eaters all, this was a generous amount of food, but everyone was happy to try many different dishes. Most were a little spicy. Bottles of wine began at a very reasonable $20, so we ordered one. The location is very easily accessible from the SW Freeway, prices are fair, the restaurant is beautiful inside, and the food is absolutely delicious. We will be returning, albeit early again if with kids, because the vibe is that of a lounge/club later at night.

We visited the restaurant and lounge on a Sunday, around lunch time. The decor is very nice. The atmosphere was serene. We enjoyed the veggie platter and the honey wine. The meats, chicken and short ribs, could've used more seasoning. The chicken was tender, but the short ribs were tough. We would go back for the veggies and to try other dishes.
