Service were slow. We had hibachi, so part of the wait is for the table to fill up more. Food excellent. 5/13/2013 2:18:19 PM
cold, dark, dingy, whole building was needing much repair, almost nobody was present--bad sign! Did not have some items listed on menu 4/22/2013 8:30:58 AM
It is winter and it could have been a bit warmer...it was very cold sitting at the hibatchi. 3/23/2013 8:29:37 PM
This restaurant has gone downhill fast, It was dirty and smelled awful. After being seated and having soup and salad, we waited an hour before the chef came to the table. As we waited, the overhead cover of the grill was dripping black grease onto the grill. Once he started cooking we were shocked at how the portion sizes have almost been cut in half, and the rice was under cooked and crunchy. The owner was rude to the staff. We will not be going back, 2 1/2 hours of disappointment! 3/23/2013 10:12:08 AM
Great sushi that is fresh prepared by a friendly chef who is nice enough to talk to you while he makes the fold, you can watch. Great overall experience. Best sushi despite the humble location. In this case, with the restaurant, looks are deceiving. The building may seem run down but I truly keep on going back to Arigato's to original, authentic and amazing sushi. I always leave satisfied. The best!!! 3/23/2013 8:11:30 AM
It was FREEZING in there! They said it would get warmer..... It didn't I even went to my car and got 4 blankets for the ladies at the table. In 2 hours it never warmed up! I have never had to dine with my winter coat, fur hat, gloves , and a blanket on...... And I still my toes were numb! Ugh! 3/23/2013 12:18:22 AM
Service was terrible! We had reservations and waited over an hour. We saw several parties of 2-12 people leave before they were seated/served. only 3 chefs on and help had no idea what they were doing! Restaurant did not appear clean either. 3/2/2013 10:12:21 PM
The food and service was good, the only problem I had was that it was quite chilly in there. I asked the server for some heat and she said it would get warmer once the cooking started. She was only partially right. 2/17/2013 10:14:24 PM
Was surprised when menu prices were considerably higher than their website. When I commented on it they didn't seem to care. Also not as clean as I would have liked. 1/22/2013 10:33:20 AM
The wait was really long even though no one else was there. The floors were dirty and sticky looked like they haven't been cleaned in a month. The quality of the food was terrible. We paid $96 and it was worth about $20. 1/21/2013 7:49:58 PM
The chef was amazing when he did the tricks with the food 1/21/2013 8:45:57 AM
The food was great, We had no complaints there. Our experience was ruined by our server writing her expectations for a tip on our check. As customers, we feel that tipping, while not optional, should be based on our own assessment of the service provided, and we were offended by the way this was handled. 1/18/2013 4:34:39 PM
awesome time - great food 1/17/2013 3:09:05 PM
We had expected more entertainment from the chef 1/17/2013 11:29:24 AM
very entertaining chef, very friendly staff, fun 1/17/2013 7:06:59 AM
The staff was great! The tableside interaction makes the experience fun and enjoyable! The food was excellent! 1/17/2013 6:26:24 AM
We are big fans of Plum Garden hibachi, but wanted to try some other Japanese options. With the exception of 2 friendly employees, there is VERY little to recommend Arigato in our experience. The decor was probably charming at one time but has not been well maintained - at all. Our server was particularly bad, and I say that as a former server, usually generous in cutting servers a break. Other hibachi restaurants have made our finicky 8yr old plain udon noodles, but the Arigato server said this was not an option (only available in soup or stir-fried with vegetables)… As a result, our birthday girl ordered only a side of steamed rice and a glass of milk. Our hibachi chef was a very friendly non-Asian, but neither the show nor the food compared to Plum Garden (or Tokyo, or …). No tofu available for our 2 vegetarians (common option at most hibachi), and the salmon ordered by 2 others in our party was judged to be tasteless or average at best. At the end of the meal, our birthday girl was brought complimentary fresh pineapple she doesn’t eat (we would have ordered a non-complimentary scoop of ice cream if we’d been asked), and offered the chance to wear a geisha wig and kimono worn by countless other guests before her. If the dirt/grease visible at a glance in the decor is any indication of its hygiene maintenance… umm, Pass! The final insult was the bill. Well over $100 AFTER our $25 Restaurant.com coupon (one milk, and 4 of the least expensive entrees). Part of the reason for this is because a mandatory 15% gratuity was added to our party of 4 BEFORE the coupon was subtracted, despite our server being AWOL most of the evening (restaurant NOT busy, despite being a Friday PM...), and "phoning in" the rest of her minimal service. Altogether, an embarrassing experience for our birthday girl and out-of-town guest. Bottom line, we will NEVER RECOMMENDED the Arigato to others. 1/17/2013 6:14:44 AM

Service was great! We went there for sushi and were not disappointed. Great fun. Hibachi tables available for those who wish. 1/8/2013 9:10:58 PM
We ate at the Sushi bar and Foo (the Sushi Chef)was awesome. He shared his 26 years of sushi expertise with us and made excellent plates for us. The only complaint is that it was really cold and the food is pricy. But worth it when using the coupon. 1/8/2013 7:07:15 PM
Our waiter was very punctual, pleasant and never allowed our glasses to get low. Our Chef was excellent as well and was very pleasant. 1/8/2013 4:50:13 PM
Probably one of the worst dining experiences ever. The restaurant is run down and looks like its out of a 1970's karate movie. I made reservations (not needed two other tables are all that was there) and arrived 5 minutes early. It was about 60 degrees inside and we kept out coats on. We were seated immediate and continued to be seated for 50 minutes when the chef finally arrived. While they clearly have a soda machine, they were serving drinks from 2 litre botles, and it was flat and likely watered down. Yes watered down. Clearly another sign to leave this place. While the food is most important the entertainment of hibachi is a close second. I have to say both were subpar. The worst of it was when I asked for the manager (think its the owner) to inform her of our long wait. Her reply was "I checked your time and you only waited 45 minutes what would you expect to wait". My reply 20 minutes to which she answered" you had soup and salad what do you want me to do". Wow! DO NOT GO THERE! I would recommend Plum Garden. Comparable prices, much better environment and friendly staff. 1/8/2013 4:32:24 PM
it was cold in the restaurant 1/8/2013 4:44:13 AM
The service was extremely slow. We were practically the only ones there for quite a while. The waitress didn't bring out appetizers for a long time. There were also errors on the check. The chef and food overall was good though. It was just not a great experience. 1/7/2013 10:55:10 PM
The food was cooked perfectly. The chef was fun, and was very good at entertaining. The atmosphere was casual yet quaint. 11/30/2012 6:18:43 AM
The habachi grill was very exciting and fun to watch the chefs cook right in front of you and enjoyable with all the tricks! 11/9/2012 4:50:22 AM
