Old Venice is great -- a definite favorite. However, because we were dining with a Restaurant.com gift certificate, we were unable to take advantage of the wine promotion, as per a sign posted on the hostess stand. We enjoyed our meal very much, and found that everything was (as always) absolutely scrumptious. We ordered the crawfish rolls and a caprese flatbread to start, and a sandwich, pizza, and pasta for dinner. Everything came out promptly and came out hot.
However, we were seated next to a group of very loud young women, and it made it difficult to converse (the restaurant is a little loud anyway on busy nights, usually).
The service was good, if a little unpolished.

The atmosphere is very loud due to the design of the restaurant so it is hard to have a conversation and some of their interpretations of pizza aren't what one might expect. I ordered a margherita pizza and did not expect it to come with red sauce. Probably sitting at the bar for drinks and appetizers would be a better option

Seated immediately in the corner of a nice cozy room with about 5 other tables. Very nice atmosphere! Service was excellent!! Wait staff very knowledgible and attentive to our needs!

Three members of our 4 member party are regulars at OV. Two of us decied to try something differnt and we were both pleased. The first time diner LOVED her meal. And our server Danielle was GREAT!!! She was friendly without being 'overly friednly' and very knowledge of the menu and made great suggestions.

The food was not up to par. My husband and I ordered completely different dishes with different sauces and his was identical to mine. It looked to be prepared by someone who did not care about the quality or taste of the dish.

Waited for over an hour ... they told us in advance so they couldn't help it, but there is nowhere to wait with children. We had to stand by the door and it was so cold.

Glad you had good bread - no bread last few times. Friends talk about this issue at this Old Venice...They do so much right, but the small stuff gets noticed.

Great service, GREAT waiter and wonderful food. we haven't eaten at Old Venice in about a year because the menu had been changed a while back, happy to see that the old menu and how the food is prepared is back!!!!

I did not enjoy my experience because we purchased the restaurant.com gift certificate and read over the rules in order to determine if more than one could be used and if it could be redeemed immediately. We also called the restaurant.com number. It was not a pleasure to find out that by using the $25 gift certificate, a 18% gratuity, so we did not save anything, we actually were out of $3 more.
