Why are all the chairs with cushions stained? They don't look inviting to sit on. I had a first date there and it was kind of disapointing that the chairs were dingy.

Gum chewing/gum snapping hostess; idle wait staff (including hostess) socializing, eating & using cell phones in full view of paying guests; one server sitting on metal rail in front of kitchen with her full behind hanging out of her jeans. Very unprofessional serving experience. Bus boy was the only hustler. He was on top of every new diner with water & bread, cleared plates quickly and was always doing something.

This was a gift certificate to my son & his wife. I only have his report that the food & service were good - no specifics.

I had the seafood special and there was such a variety of seafood that I couldn't believe my eyes! The bread and pesto that was brought out to the table first was delicious. The server was attentive and it was overall a fantastic experience!

Our server was a very young girl who was nice but not attentive at all. Felt a little ignored. It was not that busy.

GREAT FOOD! Fresh & authentic. WONDERFUL ATMOSPHERE. Service was great as well. Will go back VERY often.

The food at Il Posto was fantastic. Clearly everything was made from scratch, including the tomatoes which are grown on the patio. Wonderful flavors, great staff and fantastic hidden gem.

Good Italian fare, except the spaghetti with marinara, which is super bland. Great courtyard, nice atmosphere. Delicious Pesto and crusty peasant bread.

Not much attention from the wait staff. Music was too loud. Sun in our eyes at the table. Food came at different times.

This is a go-to type of restaurant. Good food, average atmosphere inside but a great patio when the weather permits.

Good portions at a reasonable price. Service was very good; not rushed. It appears to be prepared fresh, one entree at a time.

I have dined here since it was Our Gang and make an attempt to dine when craving good Italian food (and when I allow myself to eat pasta). We use the Restaurant coupon to save some money obviously; however, the restaurant's policy of using the coupon changes every visit. We've been told it can't be used if also taking part in half bottle wine night; then we were told another night that yes, we could use it in addition to half bottle wine night. On one visit, we ordered the specials of the day and were told when we received the bill that we couldn't use it for the specials. Last night, we were told we could use it for the specials but not if we ordered half price wine. We have learned to ask first ...

Our servers was not attentive. One meal arrived more than 5 minutes after all the others and there was no apology.

Service was a little slow and the steak was ordered rare but was served closer to a medium rare. Parts of the steak had a burnt texture / flavor to it. The server was not familiar on how to process the certificate. We ate on the patio and the fire pit fire extended beyond the pit onto the surrounding brick lay, our server stated this happens frequently, if it has happened in the past why not repair it and avoid possible accidents? We had to wait close to 20 minutes for the manager to process it. Since I had done the math in my head we came close to leaving the amount on the table and walking out. Sure enough I was within $ .25. We would consider visting again but it's not guaranteed. My Husband was bothered by it.

So glad that you all put the Eggplant Parmesan back on the regular menu.....that is all I ever order because it is so good.

The fact that they had great service, a very nice patio, good bread and pesto dipping sauce, and a good arugula-apple salad could not make up for the poor quality of the main entrees. The chicken picatta had a thick lemon sauce with way too many capers. Teh big problem was that the chicken breast was grilled,. and the grilling flavors did not go with the delicate flavors of the lemon sauce (assuming the lemon sauce had delicate flavors if I could have tasted it. Teh best thing about my meal was that it wsa way bettter than my wife's chicken Romano. Her meal was completely flavorless. It would have made a good doet meal because after a couple of bites you don't want any more. I wish the review could have beenn better because it is a great patio and close to our house. Unfortunately I can't recommend it unless they get a new chef.
