All of the food we ordered was fantastic especially the curries. The restaurant is less busy on Monday nights when we went to visit and we were seated right away. A very good restaurant to come to with friends or family and share entrees together. 5/14/2013 2:04:37 PM

After having dined at Everest on Grand an average of 5-6 times per year for the past 7-8 years (AND LOVED IT), we were saddened to have a very sub-par experience this evening. First of all, my favorite menu item, the Chau Chau with shrimp, no longer exists with shrimp as an option. The menu appears to have been changed, and mainly for the worse. Upon inquiry as to whether shrimp could be added (there were other menu items with shrimp) the waiter told me that this was not possible. Secondly, the wine I selected was not available. I felt as though ordering was a hit-or-miss ordeal tonight. Thirdly, the waitstaff, normally very polite and attentive was less accommodating and generally distracted and disengaged. Ultimately, we are not sure we will be returning. We have been more conscious about additives and hormones in our food lately, as well as GMOs in substances such as oil and sugars used as additives in menu items. Since Everest on Grand has not assured us that their food is GMO free or made with free range chicken, etc., ON TOP of the fact that they no longer seem to be accommodating to our requests, we are sadly displeased and feeling as though we may be taking Everest on Grand off our rotation of enjoyable/healthy restaurants to frequent. 5/9/2013 10:23:29 PM

I actually ordered food for take-out but ran I to issues when trying to redeem the coupon. At first the employee was fine, but then when I tried using the coupon the employee stated that I could not use it on that day. I stopped and read the entire fine print and could not find a day restriction. After showing this the employee then took out a restaurant copy and handed it to me. I read this as well and could not find the restriction he specified. At this point the employee, realizing I had called him out on his lie, said that this was for dining in only because if the restaurants.com image saying "tip your server for the full amount of the bill" and since I was carrying out I could not use this. Now 2 things: first, I fully extended to tip, well at that, I always do and second it is not the customer's fault that the restrictions were not done properly. I understand there are people who who would avoid tip along with using a very substantial coupon but the employee was incredibly rude in making that assumption about me. The food was excellent but I would not visit there again. The Twin cities has plenty of restaurants with good food and far better service. 3/9/2013 4:01:24 AM

Service took forever even though there were maybe 8-10 people in the restaurant when we got there. We got there around 4:45 or so and finally got out around 6:30. We missed a film we had reserved at the Science Museum because of the horrendously slow service. Also way overpriced for the food we got!!! Very bad. 2/15/2013 7:32:11 PM
