Service was excellent. This is a walk up cafe where you order at the counter and the staff brings the food to you. The interior is not fancy; dominated by the kitchen (the counter person said that about 80% of their business is catering). They took the time to explain the daily specials (my son had a halibut filet that was supreme and any other questions about the menu. 5/22/2013 10:11:24 AM

Bistro Topaz is by far one of, if not the best restaurant on your site! We have always recieved excellent food served by their excellent staff. We enjoyed the large portions in the kid's menu. The bread basket is very good and gluten free bread is available upon request. We liked that gluten free options were listed on the menu. The food itself is very good, but not exceptional. There is one very tall, soft spoken waiter who is extremely nice whom we've had previously. Our waiter this time was very nice, but he seemed he was a newer employee because he had forgotten to give us our salad dressing but gave it to us once we reminded us. It would have been nice to be told that we needed to get our own silverware and napkins, but we figured it out ourselves eventually. 5/19/2013 12:18:08 AM

My family and I love this place. Even when our favorites are no longer on the menu, it gives us a chance to try something new. When we do try a new dish, even if it isn't to our liking, the desserts always make up for it. 5/11/2013 6:07:19 PM

It was our 1st anniversary and we were looking for a new restaurant. We were treated like royalty. Our server, Robert, told the chef about our anniversary and wrote down our names. The chef created fresh chocolate truffles, a molded chocolate heart, lemon sorbetto, and presented the truffles/heart on a little plate with "Happy Anniversary Dennis & Jeannie" written on it. Robert explained how the entire meal was prepared; he was fantastic! As we left, the owners and the executive chef wished us a happy anniversary. We'll definitely be back! 4/3/2013 12:10:20 PM

Superb food, innovative dishes, attentive service--all at a relatively reasonable cost. Some dishes are starting to get pricy, I suggest they keep the prices down to keep the regulars coming and attract new clientele. Please don't change a winning formula by raising prices. 4/2/2013 8:05:53 PM

Food was ok, but expected better from the yelp reviews. Menu is rather limited. It might be best to go sometime when you know what the specials are (I was interested in the squash gnocchi, but it wasn't currently there. Seafood looked sustainable so that's nice.
