we were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half before we received our dinner. The best item that we were served was a steak (supposed to be a seafood restaurant!). I had to send my salmon back because it was a very thin fillet and very overcooked. Prices were definitely high for the quality of the food and location of the restaurant. 5/7/2013 10:13:00 AM

Oysters were good. Waitress was nice but not knowledgeable. Put oyster sampler down but did not tell us which was which till we called her back and asked, and even then she told us one was kumoto and we had to correct her, as we didn't order those. Dubious that she identified the others correctly. Portions small, price Wes high, quality of broiled and fried players were so so. Presentation was poor. And entrance to dining room smelled like ammonia. Would probably use restaurant.com again and get oysters only. 4/20/2013 6:14:11 PM

For the prices they charge the food we were served seemed lacking. We both ordered the broiled seafood platter thinking it would be a healthier choice than fried. The small amount of seafood was drenched in the buerre blanc sauce. For dessert,my carrot cake was delicious but my dining partner's caramel apple pie was soggy. I may eat here again when I'm in the mood for fried seafood or oysters on the half shell. I like the rustic salty dog ambiance but at the prices they are asking they need to spruce the place up a bit. 4/13/2013 2:50:58 PM

We have been eating at the Oyster Bar for 45 years and the atmosphere hasn't changed a bit which is a good thing. But, the service and quality of the food is better than ever - also a good thing! A place we must go every time we visit portland from SLC. 4/4/2013 12:14:09 PM

Wonderful flavor, but for $25 for their supposedly largest seafood platter, I should have gotten more than 3 prawns, 2 scallops, 2oz of cod, and a sprinkling of squid bits. Dessert and alcohol portions were good though. 3/11/2013 2:06:11 AM
