Piano music adds to already-romantic ambiance. Great to find a Veal Chop under $30. House wines reasonable & good. Authentic Cannelloni is made with veal as here, & you won't find this in far pricier Italian restaurants. Service outstanding. 5/14/2013 12:12:15 PM

Great ambiance and staff. We've been coming to M's since the 70's. That part is still great. We were disappointed in the food. The escargot were small, the bread was light, not dense the way Italian bread should be. I'm from NY and I know it's hard to have authentic Italian bread in Houston, but you can do better than what we had last night. My fish (Sciliano) had one, that's one, shrimp on it, and CANNED mushrooms. Say it ain't true!!! I expected better. For the price, throw in a salad....really. We will give you another opportunity, but for the money we spend, I expect your food to be at the same level as your atmosphere and wait staff. We will be very disappointed if we have to go elsewhere. We love you Michelangelo's. Please return to the quality you once had. 5/5/2013 6:03:24 PM

Beware of hidden charges....coffee, which is normally complimentary when you pursed another refillable drink before cost almost $8.00! And you are forced to use their valet parking because that is the only parking available. True, they say you don't have to tip, but, you don't want to be rude. My husband and I dined at Michelangelo's for our 9th pre-wedding celebration! I was hoping for a romantic atmosphere and was excited that there would be live piano music playing which was great sounding too! The restaurant and service was everything I hoped for and my husband was very pleased too. The music is wonderful and adds so much to the dining experience at this restaurant! However, the poor lighting (just a low candle) at our table made it very difficult to read the menu, The service in receiving our entrees seemed very slow. Great chocolate cake! 7/1/2012 10:11:28 PM

The valets were not at their station & I had to self-park, which was not a problem as parking is RIGHT THERE AT THE DOOR - DUH!!!! - but I was not then going to give the valet my keys, when he exited the building and asked for them as we walked in. The waiter had a "could-care-less" attitude and was not welcoming or helpful. He was also very inattentive - and we were there at only 7 PM on a Friday evening!!! He had to be asked numerous times for things and our drinks were empty several times. I asked if you had Moscato, and was brought an expensive glass of Moscoto Spumonte, which I should have been told was Spumonte when I asked. The restaurant is great but the valet is awful and completely unnecessary. You watch your car get parked twenty feet from where you get out and they NEVER have change. It leaves a sour taste as it's the last piece of your experience when you leave. 3/6/2012 8:28:12 AM

Very, very slow to get our food. Super cozy and romantic = an A++ for atmosphere! Thought it odd we could only buy the house Chianti by the glass and there wasn't a bottle option. Depsite other servers and the hostess coming by constantly, we had to ask repeatedly to get water refills and plates removed. LOVE the pianoman- unexpected and wonderful! Food was delicious, but would've liked slightly larger pasta portions and brown/raw sugar would've been nice with cappucinos.
