The food was not as good as the prices suggested and even though the place was not very busy, the service was very slow.

Emzi automatically charged gratuity totalling $9 to our bill without notice. Their "spicy noodle soup " was made with ramen noodles. I would go back for the sushi though it was good. Their entrée portions were large also.

Great server! We are new to sushi and he gave us lots of advice and tips to help us find great sushi! He was very patient and willing to answer all of our questions.

My husband and I went around 4:30pm so it was empty. I think we were the only cutomers so the exp was great. We had all the attention. The waiter happened to be the bartender who was positive and very professional. He knew the food and the drinks and could explain them(that is very rare. The food was well presented and the prices are fair. The waiter made feel at ease(this was our 1st time in the rest). However, not being from the area, we had difficulty finding the place from the underground parking lot. We called the rest, and a lady directed us to the rest.

The waiter was careless. No silver ware or serving sponn was provided. The wine amount was less than 1/4 of the glass. The waiter was talking on the cell phone while taking our order! That was the worst I ever experience in a "Restaurant" and will not go back!@

The food was great. Place is beautiful and the staff took really good care of us.

We were sat at the booth by the door which was quite cold as the door kept opening. It was also awkward to be sat right in front of the server station.

Everything was DELICIOUS. The Best Sushi we ever tasted. The server and the hostess were very nice. We will Definitely come back and tell others.

EMZY has very good sushi for Charlotte. The service and atmosphere were good, but the location for Uptown was not as lively. It was even a little hard to find since the address lists Tryon but the venue is right off of Church Street.

Great food, wine and waiter. We're in Charlotte on business and looked them up on Restaurant.com. We were delighted with the whole dining experience.

Our waiter was very pleasant, it was the same person we had the very first time and he was a pleasure. The service was fast and the food was delicious.

The waiter was HORRIBLE. Unable to make drink I requested. Ignored us entire time. Was so soft spoken, could not hear him very well. Only 2 other parties in restaurant. Gave himself 18% tip that he DID NOT EARN AT ALL. Will never go back ever.

rolls were 'drenched' in sauces this time, sashimi and nigiri cuts of tuna and salmon looked amaturish. Yellowtail 'fantasy' roll tasted like the fried part was not fresh fish. 'Cherry blossom' role was so covered in sauces that the soy wrapper was getting soggy. What happened to this place where did the good sushi chef go? Got a better made to order roll and platter at the Harris Teeter in Southpark. Think we are dropping them from our list
