Salmon seared too well done and very small portion for the price. Root vegetables consisted of diced potatoes only - too much salt. Few spears of asparagus! Other chicken roulade not much taste, meat tough and small portion. Potatoes - ok. Antelope burger tasted like hamburger? Very small 4 cheese pizza for the price - we often eat at Hanni's and their pizza is wonderful - few dollars more for cheese - proschutto- arugula , cheese and the size of a meat platter! Great waitress - but too burdened for the large crowd.

I had the lobster scallop Napoleon on top of a risotto cake which came out burnt and left a burnt flavor in the meal. After explaining it to the waitress she was nice and apologetic offering to get something in replacement to which I agreed. Until overhearing the chef yelling about the meal coming back with several expletives in my direction. I lost my appetite after that display of unprofessionaliszm over poor quality and arrogance.

Insufficient help to the amount of customers. Waiter was very pleasant - but the long soldier in the place today; We were needing to be fed and off to a play at the MAC =very slow to serve -one Hour!!!!- had to gulp food and be off for the shows......

salmon was over done/dry; Root vegetables consisted only of awful potatoes; few asparagus completed the meal for 18 dollars. other meal - small chicken roulade and mega potatoes for 17 dollars- no salad or anything..not a good deal! Waitress was way too busy for the crowd.

Service seemed a bit slow when getting drinks but seemed to get better when the food came out. Also accommodated our timeframe to get to a school play on time.

The music was much too loud when we arrived. We couldn't even hear a word the hostess said. We were about to leave when the band stopped. They need small quiet combos for a place that size.

Myself and 4 friends dined here prior to an opera. Advised the server and we were out in plenty of time to attend. I had a pork special and homemade ice cream. FABULOUS. Great wine specials, cozy interior, attentive service. This is not pre-processed fast food, so entrees take a bit of time to arrive, as to be expected for this level of food quality. I will return to this restaurant for brunch next week. In addition to the regular menu, They also have a FULL gluten-free menu . . . not just a couple of items.

They did not want us to eat there when they saw how many were in our group. so it took a hour to get our food. Some was raw, some was so salty we could not eat and and another was so tough it could not be eaten either. The manager did not care when we talked to him and would not adjust our bill. $135. wasted. Never again.

Our 4 meals were all exceptional. No complaints about the food and would rate it at 5. The wine offering were good and the temperature of our bottles of red wine was cellar perfect. The waitress was very attentive without hovering. The only negative was a birthday party was in another area of restaurant (not the problem) and a band was playing for the party at 6:00 pm and our party had an extremely difficult time having any conversation. The band was good, but the volume was way too much for the area.

The carbornara pasta dish my husband ordered was dry and my filet mignon, despite being requested medium was rare. We chose to dine there as it was close to an event venue we were going to that evening so we didn't have time to wait until new dishes were made. I ended up giving my steak to my mother who likes rare meat. The restaurant had a cavernous feel to it, lacking warmth. I read about the restaurant in the Mesa edition of the Arizona Republic and had wanted to visit. So this was a great opportunity to try it out. The service was very good and as a result, I had high hopes for the food even though the decor was very dated (felt like the 80's).

A nice venue. Would no doubt be more fun during happy hours since they focus on wines and wine tastings. We went for brunch which was very good.

I have visited this restaurant in the past with friends for happy hour and dinner w/ drinks and they have always given us great service even when they are extremely busy. This is a sit and relax type of wine bar restaurant. The proprietors are very cordial and welcoming and they are giving Downtown Mesa a very good spot to eat, drink, relax and enjoy . We will return and will expect and get the same service we have always expected when going there.
