We spoke to several staff members who had various jobs w/in the organization and they were all very pleasant. The steak and steak fajitas were exceptional. The lunch menu is quite different than the dinner menu. I live in the area and have eaten fajitas at several restaurants. They use actual steak! My husband really enjoyed his steak. We went to La Paloma because it was a Restaurant.com restaurant on the San Antonio Riverwalk. Honestly, the food was mediocre at best, small portions at exaggerated prices. Because people will pay more to be on the Riverwalk, I guess the restaurant can charge more for the ambiance. Our server Roberto did not check on us even once after the meal was served. Of all the San Antonio meals we had, including others on the Riverwalk during our 5-Day San Antonio stay, La Paloma was easily the restaurant we enjoyed the least. 4/29/2013 12:09:30 AM

Prompt service, Margarita was excellent and started off with some queso and chips. Always had fresh refills and our table was cleared. Food was nice and hot and very delicious! We will be back. 4/25/2013 10:17:21 AM

the service was horrible we were sitted with menus and no one came to get our drink order for 20 minutes the resturant was not busy. Then to get our food order took long as well another 20 minutes. The was cold and tasted terrible. The atmosphere on the river is very nice. The service was goog & the food was great. The only drawback was the ducks & pigeons. They were kinda fun when we first arrived, but became annoying quickly. Hostess was very helpful...Waiter was on top of everything, the food took longer that expected specially when you have children, but it was worth the wait. Food was extremely tasty!!!! It was our first time visit but we will certainly be back soon.. 3/9/2013 8:31:25 PM

It was valentine's day. My boyfriend came in from out of state. The restaurant was not even packed. We were left waiting for 25 mins to even get chips and salsa. The waitress seemed annoyed.
