Nice setting in the lower level. We were spaced away from other diners, so we could enjoy our conversation and the background music.

Great ambience (sat near fireplace), but terrible tasting food for the amount they charged. Quality of food was good, just not for my pallate. I am a meat and potatoes guy, and this was too booshy. My gf's Paella looked like slop. My pork short ribs were incredibly fatty so I could only eat half that consisted of actual meat. The gravy for the potatoes was kind of weird...

Bistro 135 is our new favorite restaurant on the East side! I love the bar area with the beautiful, long wooden bar and the gas fireplace which is especially nice on cold winter nights. The service is tremendous! Each server we have had has an excellent attitude and is extremely helpful. The food is superb and is what keeps us wanting to go back. The scallops, cheesy risotto, vegetable dish is so delicious, Chicken French was done perfectly, salads are fresh. Happy hour drinks are very reasonably priced too! The live jazz music is always quite good but can be a bit loud for quiet conversation.

Server was indifferent and not on par with similar type establishments. More than once she reached across in front of us and once her hanging sleeve on her blouse dragged across the plate she had just placed in front of me. The guys filling the water glasses and removing the plates were very prompt, poised and professional.

Excellent warm rolls, great caesar salad, and the meals were fantastic (salmon and sea bass.)

Crowded....average looking dining room. Staff not overly professional for this type of restaurant.

Food was phenominal. It's pricy but when you figure in the live band, well what can you expect. We did not order alcohol. The place was packed which indicated that others were also enjoying their visit. Made reservations even just for my wife and I. The band was very good and not too loud. Service included enough attentive staff so you weren't sitting their with your dirty dishes in front of you,

We didn't have reservations and called on the way. They said it would be a 30 min wait. When we got there there wasn't even room at the bar. The hostess went out of her way to get us seated, we had a table within 5 minutes.

Bistro 135 has a great atmosphere. Depending on why you're there and who your with, you have a variety of areas to dine in which makes it really perfect. I think the $5.00 appetizer night is great way to try different ones.

music, especially singer, was too loud after 7 p.m., difficult to talk to others at our table. Volume could be lower.

On a Monday evening, we did not expect live music - made it hard to talk. For my party, we would have been happier without the musician.
