Blues BBQ and Grill
Blues BBQ has a good name, but a good name alone won't keep business. A restaurant with a good name must still maintain good food. Overall, we give the food a "C-" rating for this order. In the past, however, we have visited Blues BBQ and could easily rate the food A+. Maybe it depends on the night of the week? Maybe it depends on who is cooking the food that day? We don't know, it's hard to say. Service is never an issue. Blues BBQ has really good servers - friendly, courteous, and attentive. Overall we still like to visit and eat at Blues BBQ, but the quality and consistency of the food has dropped a notch or two. Everything was good, especially the service (Jennifer). Only thing we didn't like was the 'new' Texas chicken sandwich... was pretty disappointed with that, but everything else was delicious.

Even though the restaurant was full, our waitress stayed on top of refills and was fast and pleasant.

This was not my first time at Blues BBQ and grill. The food was very good and the waitress was very attentive. I enjoyed my meal very much and will return.

The food was really good other than the appettizer. The price of some of the items were very high for such small portions. Example the ribs you got 3 small ribs and 2 sides for 14.99 and a small cheese pizza for 8.99 which was just enough for one person. The doughnuts and the memphis BBQ sandwich were amazing and were price good for portion! Our waitress was great! I would have to say the best waitress we have had in a very long time.

The Blues BBQ Co. was started in 2004 with $20,000, a truck and a dream. Two brothers, Patrick and Chris, decided to give the people of Frederick, MD “Real BBQ!” Most of the BBQ found in Maryland was less than average and mostly over-cooked. Dried-out beef and pork could be found at almost any BBQ Restaurant. Good BBQ needs to be smoked over wood. Great BBQ needs to be smoked over a wood blend for the perfect amount of time, at the perfect temperature-and lived! That’s what we strive to do. We don’t smother our BBQ in sauce, we complement it with sauce. Patrick has traveled all over the country to eat BBQ, finding some great and some not so great. These recipes are compiled from tasting BBQ from all over the world. The regions we mention are for lack of better terms “a guide” to the flavor profile which we are trying to achieve.
