It's now been my 2nd visit this year and the service was really great. The food was delicious and the server was very polite and attentive to us. I think I'll keep coming.

It always strikes me how out of place Cafe Mozart feels, tucked between two nondescript office building on H street. Yet there you find, behind (somewhat overpriced) German specialty store, excellent south-German dishes, in a great atmosphere and always served with a smile.

The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful in understanding the different foods. They also have a great German market so you can ask about the foods you are eating and they point you into the market where to get it. Great idea!

Pros:The food came out quickly sense I was the only one there. There were very good food portions. The food itself was great.
Cons: The inside of the menu looked like an Elementary schooler printed it out though. The Roll I was given with my food was so dry I only ate one bite then gave up on it. I was also expecting a better atmosphere. When you first walk in you walk into a 7-11 like convenience store, then walk to the back where there is a neon sign saying "Restaurant", then you walk into a small bar with only 4 tables in front of it, then you walk into a slightly larger dining room which looks a lot better by comparison. Their Hazelnut Cake wasn't moist at all and the frosting not only was NOT all that sweet but also had a texture like melted wax. Because I really wanted to try their deserts when I was planing to go there, that made me question about going back.

Great German food and kind waitress. VERY tasty food, and decent service. Meats were very tender and flavorful. Only downfall was a lemon-less lemon roulade. Worth a visit!

Excellent food...very tasty. The staff offers great advice on the food and wine. Half of the fun is shopping in the deli after dinner

The menu online at restaurant.com included a section titled Fondue Fun which was not available at the restaurant. This was my only disappointment with the experience, it was otherwise superb.
