Waitress was professional, but the food was slow to get to me, my soup spoon was dirty. The clam chowder was very good, the meal was fair...When I spend for lobster, I expect better than 'fair'. The carpet had a HUGE stain, my booth was dirty. The restaurant itself was not what I expected from a 'nice' steak and seafood restaurant. It's a shame because the restaurant is right on the marina, and really could have been an outstanding experience. It fell far short of outstanding.

We were there during Happy Hour. However, we could not order Happy Hour drinks/get those prices because we were eating on the patio upstairs. I guess we should have ordered drinks first and brought them upstairs. :-((

I know this - never order meat in a fish restaurant. My friend had baby back ribs - dry, hard and cold. They clearly don't know how to prepare this. And, the carpet is soooo dirty. Invest some money in your restaurant. It's no wonder the place was mostly empty with the high prices the mediocre food and the horrible environment.

The food was terrible. The bread was stale and soaked in butter. The rice was not fully cooked. The waitress was surly. Everything was awful and very overpriced.

It took forever to get food then had to return one meal because it was way over cooked and added on "prawns" to dinner for $9.00 and got 3 regular boiled shrimp, a huge disappointment because they were supposed to be prawns.

The quality of the food was very poor! The preparation left a lot to be desired. Just a poor experience! Service was poor - seen our waiter twice - once to order and once to see the bill.

Bad food-burned crab cakes, undercooked rice, seasonal veg was canned corn, dough on Wellington was undercooked. Our server was great and to be fair, the manager took $20 off the bill and gave us a free dessert. I would go back to the but for dinner.

The service was great and the hostess was sweet. However when the server presented the check, he did not state verbally that the tip was included. Inhad to review all four reciepts to find that 18% was already added. That felt slimy. Ininformed the mgr upon departure but got a bland answer about the "old system" he has.

We love Castagnollas Restaurant in SF. The Food was excellent, so with the waitress. I wish Restaurant will serve breakfast also.

Cioppino was exellent including a whole crab! However, reuben sandwich very saly and just okay. Crab on foccia had little crab and small portion size for the price ($17 if I remember correctly). Clam chowder was good, lobster bisque okay. So, overall not consistent across the menu items we tried.

We had service but our waiter did not show up to ask if every thing was ok the manager attended to that. We left a tip on the table, but I think we got charged a tip when we were done. We had a gift certificate for $25.00 but only $10.00 was taken off. Of our $75.00 meal we still paid $60.00 I don't see where we saved. I found the steak tough even though it was quite rare. There was not a big selection on the menu. I am more of a chicken person.

The interior of the restaraunt needs upgrading, likely due to the fact that the establishment is highly trafficked as it is in a tourist location.

The wait staff apparently thought that the guaranteed tip meant they didn't need to provide service such as water, or things you ask for such as lemon- had to ask 3 times. We weren't the only table getting up to get our own water. Caught the waitress rolling her eyes at my daughter who was getting her own water, yet the waitress spent most of her time talking to the cashier who was doing nothing either.

There were only 3 tables of people in the whole restaurant, yet we had to get up to get our own water service. Wait staff never came back to pick up the check so we walked it to the cashier ourself. Fish and chips, what a joke. $19 for a two very, small fish portions, the coleslaw came in one of those tiny nut cups, like 2 TBS worth. The upgrade for clam chowder instead of fries was $4 more and it was about 6 oz. After 4 years using restaurant.com, this was our first bad experience. And it was really bad.

Waiter not very attentive. Food overall was good and good portion for dinner. However, when I received my check, they were charging me 18% gratuity, they stated it was standard in using certificate from restaurant.com. However, in my certificate it did not state such disclosure. After discussing with manager they removed it, but the waiter was not willing to assist.
