Highlights

In the heart of Downtown Durham's Entertainment District, located on the beautiful American Tobacco Campus, just minutes from the Durham Bulls Triple A Baseball Park and the Durham Performing Arts Center. Plenty of on-site covered parking.

We provide a spirited swanky setting that propels you to tropical 1950s Cuba. Rat Pack was kicking. Beatles were rocking. Malcolm X and MLK were teaching. JFK was a President, not just an airport and Havana was about to explode.

Years ago, we were told that to be successful in the restaurant industry, we couldn't mix politics with food. Well, so much for that advice. We offer great food, decor, inspired artwork and music specifically chosen to set the stage for a return to an era when challenging the norm was the norm. When JFK was a President not an airport. When universities were hotbeds of political dissent. When the Rat Pack, Bardot and Marilyn were center stage and the promise of revolutionary Cuba filled the air.

We offer a spirited counter-culture environment reminiscent of a 1960s coffee house with the passion of a Latin beat offering our own version of what we call Revolution Fusion Cuisine. Our menu features homemade Cuban staples like Ropa Vie, Pressed Sandwiches and Pork Platters, award-winning tapas, combined with a touch of 60s Americana such as Red Square Velvet Cake all wrapped up in a swanky setting that propels you back in time. Enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by when you come in they welcome you with a big smile, the place looks great, the food is delicious but the waitress that took care of us was so so, she sat us at the very last corner of the restaurant very dark we went during the day, she took long time to bring a cut sandwich, the other people was half way done and i was waiting, ask for napkin and she forgot, ask for sugar she took long time for the cup refill we have to ask and at the end she kept my change and did not return to the table maybe by the way we look because we was walking and decide to eat there maybe she though that she wont get tips very sad to judge the people for the way they dress but is ok she was very helpful to the other table I did not even get her name all I knew is she was a twin because I talk to the wrong one Jun 30, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by Exceptional waitperson, prompt service, great-tasting food in an unusual atmosphere! Inside it's a bit hard to hear conversation-wise since customers were noisy! Next time we'll sit at a table outside. Jun 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by We went for lunch and saw only 2 other parties there. There were 3 servers behind the bar and we had to wait a few minutes for someone to ask if we wanted a seat. Of course we wanted a seat! 1 server was working all 3-4 parties in the restaurant and she was super slow. She forgot to bring us our chips/salsa until after our entres came out. After I gave her a coupon we had she took 10 minutes to come back with the final bill. The food was good and we were not in a hurry to be anywhere, but I wouldn't recommend the service to anyone. Rated 3 out of 5 by They were more concerned with the salsa lessons than providing us with good service. We had to move from our table for the salsa dancing. Jun 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Food was great, service a little slow. A real value and I will return again. Jun 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Only problem was the system for processing our restaurant.com certificate was not working (as it had in the past according to the server) and our exit was delayed 20 minutes until it could be processed. This was the most unpleasant part of the dinner Jun 12, 2014
