Rated 1 out of 5 by Jen Z They were understaffed - pleasant - but not very efficient. The Manhattan Chowder was pizza sauce - we each took one bite and didn't eat any more. My "baked oysters" were three quarter sized oysters on a plate for a dozen. So, so disappointing. Feb 23, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by kathy s It's a great historic place, since the 1800's but smells very musty and old.Portions of food smaller for the money you pay (dinner $25) but they're in downtown pdx where city/gov taxes are oppressive to small business people there Feb 22, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Patricia A The restaurant has been in business since the early 1900's, one that everyone needs to experience as a Portland institution. Inside, the dining area looks like the hold of an old sailing ship. Plates on the walls are from all over the world, and lighted old photos show nautical Portland scenes. In the floor of the bar is a shanghai tunnel. The oysters are terrific, especially the grilled version. Jan 11, 2015
