felt sorry for the waiter, they were short staffted, but when people around you are getting their food and they came in after you that's not right, beautiful place but very bad experience

Salad came after entree since server forgot o bring it before. Server was cold and unfriendly.

The food taste awful, like cardboard, no seasoning. The asparagus was cold, the mac n cheese was missing the cheese and the chicken did not even taste like real food.

It's a hotel restaurant and I was surprised that the staff was as attentive and the space as well appointed as you'd expect of any nice Washington, DC restaurant. Food is very tasty and presented well -- very attractive plates of whatever you order. High quality, generous portions. Engaging, attentive servers.

We were the only patrons in the restaurant so you would think we would have had better service, but the waitstaff seemed more concerned with talking and taking care of what appeared to be room service orders.

I generally try to look for something positive to include, but am find that exceptionally difficult. Our app (mango shrimp) seemed different than advertised, not particularly fresh, and not particularly tasty, though tolerable. My entree (Rock Fish) was borderline inedible. The seafood was not fresh, and sat on top of a sauce that only made things worse. My friend got the steak salad and commented that it was the worse salad he'd ever eaten.
I had been to the restaurant a year prior and had a surprisingly decent experience. Not sure which was the fluke, but I'm not chancing it.

Pleasant wait staff. Eggs too dry. Potatoes too greasy. Comfortable and spacious dinning room.

I had the porkchop and it was divine! The rosemary Spitzle was better than at most German Restaurants- I was amazed!

We were ignored for most of our meal. The restaurant was almost empty, yet we had to wait almost an hour for our dinner. The waiter was very inattentive, rarely checking to refill our drinks, etc.

Waiter was friendly but wine did not come, did not come. Finally entrees came and I asked again about wine, and it came. Then I wanted ketchup for the calamari and it did not come, did not come. Arrived just before I finished calamari. Then our bill did not come, did not come.

The food was excellent. The service was a little slow, but that is because they only had one person on the wait staff the night we went. My daughter and I are both vegetarian and there were multiple options available, which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
