The food was very good- but the portions were way too big. You would be fine to decrease the serving sizes.

I love Dover for it's abiance and personell. But please take a look at the wine list. I sat next to a man who asked for the wine list and after reading it said "Uhg!" and tossed it aside! I totally agree with him! Let's get a couple good wines in there.

Didn't like that the waiter put the tip on our bill, didn't return a copy of that receipt so we could see that he did that, plus he didn't tell us he put the tip on???

Loved everything except the automatic 18% gratuity for the two of us dining there. I don't understand why or the fact that no one mentioned it to us, we just happen to notice it on our bill. Don't get me wrong, our server, Sharon, was totally worth it and we even added another 10% to it, but it seemed a bit unusual, especially since we ordered from the regular menu.

love the bar and the personnel. The food is getting more inconsistent Good days and bad days. My appetizer yesterday was so greasy that I could barely taste the fish. The kitchen needs to look at what they are doing more.

We arrived at 2 pm and the restaurant appeared to be closed. We asked a waiter if they were open and was told that they were and we could sit anywhere we liked. It took a long time for a waiter to come to our table, but after that service and food was good. Prices were high; $9 to $13 for sandwiches.

Went for Sunday dinner at 1:40 pm but very few dinner entrees offered until after 5 pm which was disappointing. Also, table promo card listed 3 meals which were for Thanksgiving day only but there was no date so we had each selected one of those "specials" before being told they were for Thanksgiving day only. Would have preferred other dinner entree options. Not even a Sunday brunch option

Dover Restaurant and Bar is located in the lower Atrium level of the Double Tree Park Place Hotel. Dover is a 125 seat full service Restaurant and Bar. We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as our Double Tree Breakfast Buffet daily to our guests. Also located in Dover is the Swanson private dining room which can seat up to 12 guests and is dedicated to the Minnesota State High School league. Our menus are American fare offering a wide range of choices from tasty sandwiches and burgers, Walleye and Salmon and great steaks. Menu prices range from $8-$30. Dover also offers a comprehensive selection of Spirits, regional beers and table seating and booths. The Centerpiece of the restaurant is the large stainless steel high top table that seats 14 people right as you walk into the room. The bar area offers 6 HDTV's with Direct TV programming, flexible lighting schemes which allow us to tailor the mood of the room to almost any occasion. Just outside of Dover, in the Lower Atrium Area of the hotel that can allow for additional seating, private functions or just a different atmosphere. Dover Bar and Restaurant is a highlight of any guests stay at the hotel as well as for walk in guests offering great food and great service in a fun atmosphere.
