The food was outstanding and very generous protions. The atmosphere was cute and relaxing; somewhat small-town and very enjoyable. We can't believe we have lived in Sunnyvale 15 years and never eaten here!

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant of the dozens I've tried in the Bay Area. I spent half my life in Texas, so my standard of "real" Mexican food is Tex-Mex. El Caminito is not Tex-Mex at all, but it comes closest to appealing to my palate than its competition. Highly recommended: the San Thomas burrito.

The food is delicious. They have some many authentic Mexican flavors and sauces. Most of the time the service is good. And the dessert flan is to-die-for. They have very reasonable prices, especially with the coupon from restaurant.com.

Either they were short-handed, or exceptionally busy, but we waited forever for water, and while 2of our ordered cocktails came, they forgot the third, though we reminded 2 different servers. It eventually arived with apologies, and on the house, after my husband went up to complain.

The last THREE times we were here the place was FILLEd and only ONE yesd ONE eaiter was working!! Tonight we went anfd we were the only person in and one VERY NOCE waiter..ASd we left 10 booths were filled and 2 more waitserves showed up. We did wait 10 min for them to take my credit card. I Still tippped 25%
