ELLIS COUNTY BBQ
Our waiter was nice, the food was not good. The worst BBQ I've had in Texas... should have gotten the hint when we walked in to a nearly empty restaurant at lunch time on a Saturday.

The jalapeno cheddar sausage is excellent!! The Mac n cheese was great as well. Good portions and better food.

We have eaten at Ellis county before when in town to visit family. Each time the food and service are fantastic! My dad is from Lubbock and each time he eats at Ellis county he declares it the best bar-b-que he's ever eaten!

Food was luke warm at best. Iced tea tasted like it was made from powder, not brewed.

Our server Tori was new to the establishment--- Just her second day. Loved her positive energy and beautiful smile. She was very comfortable and helped to create an enjoyable dining experience.

Tonight the Mac & Cheese did not have very much cheese sauce. Only the top layer that had melted cheese was edible. The pulled pork was a little dry.
The many other times we have dined at this place the food seemed better. Especially the mac n cheese.

waiter recognized we needed a quiet place and sat us in corner opposite of bar; and attended to our needs in a timely fashion. Beautiful smile and pleasant voice. His advise selection was right on.

Atmosphere was good but pretty loud, it was a saturday evening and there was a large party at the time that took up the whole back wall of the dining area. I do not fault the resturaunt for this as this is not in their control, however the loudness of the resturalunt is reflected in the score I listed. The food and service were excelent! Looks like you could use a banquet area for large groups;-)We will be back!
