Tacos are a universal favorite. Jeff Ward, owner of Fuego Bistro located in the Central corridor, has created a casual version of his other location in the Esplanade, featuring 16 different kinds of tacos using the "same ingredients and DNA of Fuego Bistro." Tacos here are listed as either "Purist" or "Nuevo," serving up a little something for the steadfast and the curious alike. A couple for the Purists: Chicken "street-style" tacos with natural chicken breast, pico de gallo, fresh cilantro, lime and tomatillo sauce; or braised Pork shoulder with charred poblano salsa, tomatillo aioli, and cojita cheese. And a couple for The Nuevos-Duck confit tacos with blood orange salsa, port chile reduction w/ charred peppers & onions; and the Spicy Vegetarian, with poblano and Anaheim chiles, charred bell pepper salsa, chipotle aioli and an Oaxacan cheese blend. You will have to come in to see and try all the rest! Taco plates come two per, and run $8 to $12. Plates include chipotle creamed corn, Cuban black beans, and of course, the requisite chips and salsa. Delicious libations like mojitos, sangria, martinis, margaritas - all with a $5 price tag - make it hard to choose just one, so two may be in order. Fuego Tacos offers happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. daily, and all day on Sunday. South of the Border? No Need - Come to this Border!

Rated 5 out of 5 by The sliders are the best. The mango salsa on the tacos mouthwatering. Jun 14, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by We went only because of the restaurant. Com and then the told us they have tried to be removed for over 9 months from the website. Their name is now Fuego Del Mar. They were nice enough to honor the certificate but then the food was awful. The service was great though. Jun 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by They changed their name. It was hard to find. Very few veggie dishes to choose from. We wanted tacos and they were only servicing them at the happy hour time . Not with our coupon deal. Apr 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Service was a bit lacking. But we've had worse. Waited quite awhile to receive our beverages and for the check. In between, was fine. And they weren't busy. Jan 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by We ordered two dishes to split the Ahi Tuna Tostadas was great, however Del Mar Empanada were lack luster Nov 11, 2013
