good food good price great location 5/8/2013 2:14:24 PM
The pizza is great! Was disappointed that when I had looked @ the restaurant.com menu and it's prices, neither were the same at the restaurant. In example, small pizza was listed as $17 & at restaurant lowest price was $21. Wanted the shrimp pizza listed on the restaurant.com menu & they did not have it either. 5/5/2013 10:21:32 AM
Great pizza, slow service.....bothers me that they do not give you the full value of the voucher....they subtract tax....NEVER been anywhere where they did that 5/4/2013 8:27:09 PM
Very slow service, food not that great 4/30/2013 8:05:06 PM
Our waiter was great the food was wonderful and the temperature in the restaurant was set good this time. 4/23/2013 12:08:15 PM
Always love it there - best pizza ever!!! 4/20/2013 12:02:17 PM
We had a hassle getting them to approve our Restaurant.com discount. They said it was not for delivery but nowhere on the certificate did it say that. Rather disappointing to have this happen. 4/15/2013 10:12:56 PM
Service was good and deep dish meaty was delish 4/12/2013 10:27:40 PM
Overall we were very pleased, but the food took over an hour to arrive. We came all the way from Pennsylvania thinking about the lasagna that we have had at other Orlando Giordano's locations, but we had never been to Sand Lake Road. The lasagna did not survive the corporate menu changes! So we ordered ravioli and baked ziti with extra meatballs and thought they were delicious--just slow in arriving at the table. The deep dish pizza was, of course, fabulous--but took 75 minutes to arrive. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive, and he refilled our drinks with a smile and reassurance that our food would soon arrive. We used the coupon because we are on vacation. We like to explore new dining options when we are in an unfamiliar place. It's a great way to get a chance to find reliable locations using the address on our GPS, and we have more confidence about trying the restaurant. This was a winner! 4/12/2013 10:09:45 AM
Best pizza in Orlando! Especially the thin crust... 4/11/2013 2:21:12 PM
Great Pizza and service as always. However, I would have rated it five if they hadn't removed the sampler appetizers. We look forward to the zucchini, mushroom, and mozzarella combination that was recently removed from the menu. Bad move! We love that appetizer! Please bring it back. 4/8/2013 12:03:17 AM
Service was very poor, manager took over table, appetizers took very long, food was just ok, would never return! 4/2/2013 12:15:48 PM
Excellent food and great service. 4/1/2013 6:07:48 PM
Service was extremely slow, stuffed pizza was ok but the cheese was so thick it made people choke, the tip was automatically added to the bill and if we hadn't looked over our bill we would have ended up tipping twice as there was still a line to add the tip! 4/1/2013 8:20:28 AM
We were fortunate enough to get there just as a large table was opening up so we did not have to wait and our waiter was extremely pleasant and happy...our food came in an appropriate amount of time and was excellent. 3/30/2013 8:25:10 PM

Highlights

Welcome to Giordano's Pizza. The world's most famous stuffed pizza. We're stuffing America one pie at a time.

We knew the winner before the votes were counted. At Giordano's restaurant it was unanimous love at first taste. It's pizza was so delicious that we applauded the chef, Efren Boglio. He told us this story: "My brother Joseph and I both own and cook for Giordano's. We were born in a small northern Italian town near Torino, where our mother was known for her exquisite dishes. Of all her repertoire, though, my family was most fond of her deep-dish, double-crusted pizza, which she made on Easter and stuffed with ricotta cheese.

I loved her pizza so much that when I came to America in 1967 I took a job at a pizza restaurant, pleased to be near my favorite food. but the pizza there was only fair-not nearly as good as Mother's. And, as time passed, I tasted pizzas at other restaurants, I was surprised to find that the very best around didn't approach the worst of those I'd eaten back home in the old country.

So I opened my own pizza restaurant. It was called Roma and was doing all right. But then my brother Joseph came to Chicago, and we decided to close Roma and open a restaurant specializing in Mother's pizza-one which would be called by her name, Giordano. We worked for months, trying to develop a superlative Chicago variation of Mother's pizza; then, in February 1974, we opened Giordano's.

Don't get the idea that we're satisfied, though. We're not. We alter our pizzas as time passes, as the necessity arises. Our first pizzas, for example, had just the right amount of garlic for us, but too much for most of our customers; so we cut down some of it. But besides surveying our customers constantly, Joseph and I go once a week, to different pizza restaurants, in order to taste the competition.
