Had a birthday dinner for my son. We went on 4/23. We had a great time trying to guess the songs that were playing in the restaurant (old ballads and movie tunes).

The waitress was only ok, no enthusiasm, not friendly. It seems like she hates her job....and that it is just a job, she did not want to be there. Appetizers were very good tasting, just on the warm side. Dinner was served cold to luke warm. Yuck.

Loved our waitress, "Red." She offered great suggestions on what people really liked and was right on the money. From the looks of the Italian buffet, we'll be back to try that another time.

The gift card was limited to menu items (very expensive for the entrees and portion sizes). The entrees (and there were many) that were not on the menu seemed more appealing and more reasonably priced, which was a disappointment. In order to use the gift card, we had to settle for food that was not worth the amount we paid AFTER the gift card amount was taken off.

Our waitress was very nice. Our appitizer took quite a while and when we arrived at 5:00 pm on Wed. 3/6/13, we were one of two tables seated. Their pizza/pasta bar was already set up. We ordered off of the menu. I was confused as to why are calamari took so long. It was ok. My daughter and I both ordered the Gnocci which was pretty good - nice portion. The sauce was ok.

Steak wasn't cooked as asked, service was slow - possibly a candidate for resteraunt impossible. This is the second time we have come and not had a good experience with normal dining. The thursday buffet is great - the only reason why we would ever come back.

Saturday night is their fine dining night. All other evening they have a buffet, you may order from the menu as you can't use your cert. for the buffet. There were very few people at the rest. We did have a good time.

It was a bit too cool in the restaurant and, with only 3 tables occupied, the huge restaurant had a "lonesome" vibe.

Our Waitress Kim was very pleasant, cheerful and accommodating. Our dinner was excellent and more than enough. (Doggie Bag needed). We will definitely return for another great meal.

Golden Ponds Restaurant & Party House was at one time a horse stable and riding arena, and has been converted into the present venue, which has been operating since 1985. In addition to our regular dinner menu, we also offer a Sunday Brunch, and all-you-can-eat buffets on various weeknights. Our popular Italian buffet on Thursday evenings features tripe, eggplant parmigiana, lemon chicken, caponata, calamari, sfinges, greens & beans, and many other items. We also feature a seafood buffet on Friday nights along with our Fish Fry and Beer Batter specials. We bake our own Italian bread , fresh daily, and grind our own sausages.
