How do I know my credit card information is secure? Any credit card information you submit on Restaurant.com is encrypted and completely secure. Restaurant.com takes security very seriously and has measures in place to protect your personal information including credit card information. When you submit sensitive information it is protected both on- and offline. We encrypt certain sensitive information using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that our visitors' information is safe as it is sent over the internet. How long is my Restaurant Gift Certificate good for? In most cases Restaurant Gift Certificates are good for one year from the date of purchase, although there are exceptions depending upon the state you live in. For specific information, please read our terms and conditions. Are there any restrictions for using Restaurant Gift Certificates? When purchasing gift certificates, please be sure to read the restaurant’s special instructions along with our standard terms and conditions for all of our gift certificates. The gift certificates may only be used if all of these terms are followed. Please Note: Restaurant’s certificate inventories are limited but are replenished at the beginning of each month. For specific information, please read our Gift Certificate terms and conditions. How do I keep track of my Restaurant.com Gift Certificates? We provide you with a self-managed tool in “My Account” to keep track of your gift certificates. This self-managed system will only display a certificate as “used,” if you mark it as “used.” This tool allows you to mark a certificate as "used," note whom you gave the certificate to, if it was given as a gift, make notes for yourself about the restaurant and view and print your certificate. This system is provided as a purchase management system only and is not updated by Restaurant.com with the exception of adding certificates you have purchased. What do I do if I attempt to use a Restaurant Gift Certificate and the restaurant is closed or not accepting my gift certificate? This is a rare issue but sometimes restaurants go out of business or change owners without informing Restaurant.com. If you attempt to use a valid Restaurant.com Gift Certificate and the restaurant is closed or not accepting your certificate, please contact Customer Service at info@restaurant.com (include your Gift Certificate number) or call us at 1-800-979-8985 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Central Standard Time and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. Our Customer Service department will exchange your unused certificate for a credit to Restaurant.com. This will allow you to choose another restaurant or merchant certificate from Restaurant.com. We appreciate your assistance in keeping our site as up-to-date as possible. You can help other Restaurant.com customer’s by informing us about your experience. How do I use/redeem the Restaurant.com gift certificate? These instructions are also printed on all certificates. Go online to www.restaurant.com and click on the tab labeled, “Redeem Gift” or to www.theidealmeal.com to redeem the Restaurant.com Gift Certificate and to select restaurant specific certificates. What is the value of the Restaurant.com gift certificate? The Restaurant.com gift certificate is redeemable for restaurant specific certificates up to the face value. For example, a $25 Restaurant.com Gift is redeemable for a restaurant specific certificate that has a $25 value or multiple certificates of lesser value up to $25.
How do I print, email and customize aRestaurant.com Gift Certificate? When you complete the transaction for a Restaurant.com gift certificate, you will receive a confirmation page and an email that will allow you to customize, print, and email. The certificate purchaser may also go to the My Account section on www.restaurant.com to customize, print and email Restaurant.com Gift Certificates.

Certificates can be customized with a choice of a background picture, a specific message, and the recipient’s name. You may also opt to receive notification when the recipients receives and opens the email.

Dinner of the Month Club

What is the Dinner of the Month Club? A great gift for someone or for yourself. You will automatically receive a $25 Restaurant.com Gift Certificate each month via email that enables you to choose a restaurant and print a gift certificate. It is available in 3, 6 or 12 month options.
I received a Dinner of the Month Club gift, what do I need to do? Activate your Dinner of the Month Club by following the steps below:
  1. Go to dinnerofthemonth.restaurant.com
  2. Enter the Dinner of the Month code and the image in the security box.
  3. Click on Submit
  4. On the next screen, you will see a message that says “Your Dinner of the Month Code has been approved.” Click on “Continue”
  5. Log-in or register with Restaurant.com. Your certificate number will appear on the screen and will also be placed into My Account.
  6. Search for a restaurant, add it to your cart and finish the checkout to print out your first restaurant gift certificate.
Will I get billed monthly, annually or any time in the future? If you purchased a Dinner of the Month Club, it is a one time purchase and you will not be billed again. If you received a Dinner of the Month Club, you will never be billed. When will I begin receiving my certificates? The first certificate is sent at the time that The Dinner of the Month club is purchased (or registered by the recipient if it’s a gift). Thereafter, it will arrive monthly on the 5th, 12th, 19th, or 26th depending on the date of activation. If I purchase more than one Dinner of the Month Club, how many free gift certificates
do I receive?
When purchasing the Dinner of the Month Club, you will receive one free gift certificate; value differs based upon which option purchased, per order/transaction. Hint: place multiple orders to receive more than one free gift when purchasing multiple Dinner of the Month Club gifts.

When do Restaurant.com Gift Cards expire? Never! What are my shipping options for Restaurant.com gift cards? We offer two options:

Standard shipping uses the US Post Office First Class Mail - and is FREE - and usually takes between 3 and 7 business days. Please note, shipping during the holiday period could take longer.

Expedited shipping to anywhere in the United States is available for an additional charge and takes 2 to 3 business days. A tracking number will be sent to you by email within 1 business day. I’d like to send this gift card directly to the gift recipient. Will the envelope contain a receipt indicating how much I paid for the gifts? No, the envelope will contain only the gift cards and a short note from Restaurant.com giving the recipient instructions on how to redeem their gift. There will not be a receipt in the package indicating how much you paid for the gift. How do I track Restaurant.com Gift Cards after purchase? You will receive a confirmation email after purchase. At this time, gift cards do not appear in the ‘My Account’ section of Restaurant.com. If you have any questions about the status of your order, please call Customer Service at 1-800-979-8985. I just placed an order but did not get a confirmation email. The confirmation email will be sent to the email address that is on file for your Restaurant.com account. Make sure to check your spam filters or junk mail folder in case the confirmation email was delivered there. For example, a $50 card can be redeemed for two $25 restaurant specific certificates.
