This was a carryout. My order was ready on time and the food wqas great. I hop to carryout with them again.

Good food for carry out. Would not recommend dining in. Poor ventilation; poor service; sticky menus.

its really a take-out restaurant although they have a few tables.

low on ambiance, but good well priced food. Looks like there is a lot of take-out business.

The food was very good especially the General Tso's chicken. Service was good considering the waitress was multitasking with preparing food. The place is small and dining room not visually appealing. But a good option for takeout or delivery in my opinion.

Welcome to Hong Kong Chef!! Hong Kong Chef Chinese Restaurant was opened by a famous chef from Hong Kong in 2002. We were happy to have a good chef to re-organize our kitchen in January 2010. He has 40 years experience in Mandarin, Cantonese, Szechwan, Hunan and HongKong cuisine style. He used to be the Executive Chef of the House of Hunan -- the Top 10 Chicago Restaurant in 1990s. Especially, he organized many events for Chinese Prime Minister, Japanese and Korean embassy in Chicago. This is why the taste of our food are the best in the Irving Park area.
The current owner used to be a full-time College Professor of the City Colleges of Chicago. We redesign the restaurant facility with unique Chinese culture. It is our concern for customers to feel the restaurant like a part of their home. We are not only provide new food items, but also provide the Chinese culture for our customer. Hope to see you soon!!
