Jamaica Gates Caribbean Cuisine brings the taste of Jamaica, with Jamaica-born executive chef Barbara Renfro translating the cuisine of her homeland for adventurous American palates. Along with live music every Friday and Saturday, the unique atmosphere and even more unique food make Jamaica Gates a favorite destination for many repeat customers. The expected Jamaican favorites make appearances, with spicy jerk chicken and Jamaican cocktail patties on the menu. There's more than just the expected, though; there's an American touch, too, with staples, such as the hamburger and pasta being given the Caribbean treatment. Go through the Gates to get the taste of Jamaica in America.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Food was good. However service was super slow. This was on a Sunday at 1 pm with 2 other occupied tables. The wait was longer than time we ate. Sep 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The taste of the food was excellent. The portions for the appetizers were VERY lacking for the price. The music was painfully loud. It was so loud that our ears literally hurt. There were 7 people in our party and we couldn't speak to eachother at all. When we told the server she could do nothing about it. Some resorted to texting with people acrossed the table. My ears are still ringing! The music wasn't bad but I don't know why they feel it necessary to play it at a decibel level that causes irreparable hearing loss especially in such a small space. People go out to eat in a group so they can enjoy each other's company and we couldn't even talk to the person sitting next to us. Sep 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Our food was very good...some ordered the hard dough bread...we were not impressed with that since it was just light bread. Sep 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by I liked the idea of a band, but we were there early so we didn't stay. What is wrong with the total amount in the above selection? Aug 31, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by The staff was very nice. The chef came out and greeted us and was very friendly. Aug 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by I had to wait over an hour and a half for my food. Due to another engagement, I had to take my food to go instead of dining in as planned. Aug 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good atmosphere, live music and good food (spicy); friendly and prompt service. Will go back. Aug 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Food was good. The wait was a little long, but I don't mind waiting if it's worth it. The restaurant needs some renovation. It's a little run down. Aug 11, 2014
