Service slow and restaurant not busy. Food overpriced for such portions.Portions were so small. Food poor, dried out.

The sausage in my Italian dish (ordered since this is an Italian restaurant) was all gristle/cartlage. I actually took the time to separate it on my plate to avoid having to remove it from my mouth. Friends meal was also poor - and these are $20 meals.

We had reservations but we had to wait an hour and forty-five minutes to be seated. They gave us a round of free drinks but I don't think that really made up for the wait! When we were seated, the server was unfriendly. I only realized today that a salad I ordered was never delivered. We've had a lot of really nice experiences at La Dolce Vita so hopefully this was just an unpleasant anomaly.

La Dolce Vita Bistro is a great experience from the moment you walk in the door. The staff is very professional and friendly and the food is incredible.

The atmosphere of La Dolve Vita is outstanding, as is the food. I think it's comparable to establishments I've eaten at in New York City's Little Italy. The owner is very solicitous & sent us complementary drinks & a fruit plate.

other tables surrounding us were covered with table cloths. Ours was a bare formica top. We witnessed server contact with other tables up to double the amount of time we feel because we mentioned the coupon the level of service was not where it could or would have been had we not mentioned it until it came time to pay. Your hostess was very warm and cordial. My wife ordered the eggplant and stated she didn't care for the pasta and received 2 paper thin slices of eggplant with some cheese on top. The cocktails were slight and definitely not a $7.50 rocks pour. Long wait for the waiter to approach the table and to follow-up at the end including presenting the check.The level of service was not worth an added on $12 tip. One of the first words out of his mouth was Oh and you have a coupon?! La Trattoria will be our next stop when we return. Better value for the dollar spent as well. Disappointing I guess is the best way to describe.

Help was standing around the front door and It was 15 minutes before someone came to take our order after we asked for our order to be taken.
Valet parking was awful, $5.00 and it took 1/2 hour to retrieve the car in the rain making us late for our theater reservation at Playhouse Square.

The evening was beautiful, great night to sit outdoors. The food and wine was perfect. Service was great and the owner friendly. Loved it!

The service was excellent, but I marked neutral for service because we waited approximately ten minutes after being seated until someone came by and took our drink order. After that point, the service was amazing. But I had to subtract some "points" when someone comes up to the table and asks, "Has your server been here yet?"

The owner was audibly complaining about people who use coupons at his restaraunt and said it is the downfall of the restar. business. We felt very uncomfortable because he was yelling about the United States being full of cheep skates.

Wish tables were bigger and better lighting. Owner or manager came and asked about food. Very nice touch.

The Opera Dinner on Mondays is wonderful. It is not Dolce Vita's finest food -- but when accompanied by song, it is fine enough. The pasta, and the eggplant appetizer, were wonderful with or without song.

What a wonderful experience! 2 of the waiters are students at Cleveland institute of Music and entertained us with a selection from an opera. How beautiful the tenor and baritone were! It was a great way to top off the evening and start our week of vacation! Of course, OSU win over Syracuse was great to see, too! We were glad they had a TV that we could see!
