Rated 5 out of 5 by We wanted to relax and have an early dinner. We were greeted as we were walking up to the hosts counter by two wait staff while another was taking a reservation on the phone. We were seated immediately given menus, told about specials and our drink order taken. We already knew we wanted the prime rib. It took some time to decide on a side dish. There were Roasted garlic mash potatoes, French market red beans & rice, green beans almandine, Louisiana sweet potato soufflé, and Creole Jambalaya. The place was busy; more customers for dinner, the bar was full and had a football game on TV and there was a person playing requests at a grand piano. That was such a nice surprise with dinner. The colorful squash melody was the other side dish and it’s wasn’t over cooked. The prime rib was wonderful almost melt in your mouth. The wait staff were jack of all trades so they also busy the tables. We had a short conversation with our wait person, who was very pleasant. The servings were large enough you could take home half of the meal. We didn’t have room for dessert but will the next time we go. Jan 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tanya was most excellent as a server, and she also seated us. Anthony brought us bread, was conversational, and actually thinks the Patriots are innocent in Deflategate! My wife's prime rib was excellent. Jan 24, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by The service was average, the food was not good. We have been to New Orleans and when a restaurant says they are authentic, that is what you expect. No spice, no flavor in the food. very bland - not cajun! Dec 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I was quite surprised, the food was as good if not better than meals I've had in New Orleans. Dec 25, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by The menu that is posted online @ Restaurant.com and oher sites is not up to date. Online the prime rib large cut is listed as $16, but the actual menu at Lafitte's is $25. The manager told me that they don't have a menu posted & there is no website for Lafitte's. Other than that, we were pleased with our meals. Dec 8, 2014
