Lentil Garden
We went for the lunch buffet around 1:00pm - right in the middle of the buffet hours. Most of the food trays were empty. We waited for about 15 minutes to get our food. Even then a lot of trays were still empty. Extremely poor job of replenshing food. While we were eating (with whatever was left in the trays), we saw the staff come in from the kitchen and serve their own lunch! The 2 servers were great! But besides that, the rest of the staff did not have a very good personality. The desserts trays were empty and we left very unhappily.

Several dishes were very good. Restaurant decor was plain and actually brought down the experience for me.

Their staff wasn't dressed as restaurant staff. Very casually dressed waitress helped me with my order (or maybe it was just a customer like me and they were just being helpful, I am not sure).
Customer service on the phone also lacked professionalism. The person wasn't clear about what I was going to get in a to-go order and she didn't take time explaining the terminology she used.
The service is inconsistent. The fist time I ordered butter chicken to-go, I received one container of chicken and one container of rice. The second time I placed the same order, I received two lunch boxes and each of them had butter chicken, rice and naan. It was fine, but I just expected family style containers.

I came in during lunch buffet hour. A bus boy greeted me instead of hostess. Then in a few minutes a hostess showed up (who wasn't dressed in a uniform and just looked like a guest). She showed me the table and then I didn't hear from her for about 10 minutes. I had to go get my own menu (again with a help of a bus boy) and after 10 more minutes the hostess showed up to take my order.
The food was average, the prices were high (comparing to similar size restaurants in the same neighborhood).
The hostess was kind enough to bring some fresh bread to the table...of other guests...and not mine. And I had to wait another 10 minutes to get my check.
This type of service did not deserve a tip.
Maybe the restaurant should reach out to Restaurant Impossible or Chef Ramsey. Just a thought...

The best Indian food I ever ate in Beaverton since 3 years. I would rate the food here at 10/10.

We tried to apply a $25 Restaurant.com credit to purchase a Lentil garden gift certificate. We were forced to purchase two $10 certificates instead. Once at Lentil garden we were told the certificate did not apply to the lunch buffet and that our party of three could not combine the two certificates. The manager at Lentil garden was kind enough to accept one certificate after some delay, but a pleasant lunch out with the family, turned into an awkward experience.

We had Chicken Thali - food was excellent, and good for 1.75 people! Very reasonably priced as well

The food was not fresh and poor quality. The chutneys were watered down, the kofta was not cooked inside and the dessert was a joke. They called it Mango custard, canned mango pulp served out of the can!

Portions were extremely small and we did NOT receive $10.00 off for our gift certificate.

The only thing that would have made it excellent would be two things. Faster service on drinks refill and faster service on getting check. We will be back again. The food was great and this was my first time eating Indian food. Yum
