Highlights

The restaurant opened in 1988 in the little town of Tepetongo, Zacatecas, Mexico. Mr. Magdaleno Gutierrez came up with the concept of a place where you can really enjoy 100% authentic Mexican cuisine. With the help of his three sons: Jose, Orlando and Omar, his small restaurant became an instant hit, and his expertise as a chef paid back. Years later, Jose Gutierrez came up with the opportunity to invest in the United States, and so they decided to open a 100% authentic Mexican restaurant in the San Fernando Valley. The rest is history. It became an immediate success, and later they all decided to expand their little empire by opening 2, 3, 4 and just recently a fifth locations all over the Valley.

Rated 3 out of 5 by I was first impressed that the place is a full service restaurant with a long list on the menu. We ordered our food but while waiting I noticed that the guy preparing the food was not wearing any gloves. The cashier though friendly over charged us adding almost $2.00 for chile. We ordered Quesadilla. This is the only restaurant I k now that charged extra chile for a cheese quesadilla. The carnita burritos has more rice than carnitas. It should be called arroz burito. The taco carnitas that we had was hot or spicy. They never alerted us that it is spicy/hot.That will be our first and last visit with the restaurant. You can also tell that their meat is not good quality. The meat in the tacos are not really fresh and they are tough they are not fresh.Over all the quality of their meat is no good. They have been refried. Apr 13, 2015
