Located in downtown Charleston, McCrady's perfectly combines the city's love of history with its hunger for new ideas. Housed within one of the oldest existing taverns in the United States (built in 1778 by Edward McCrady), McCrady's brings new energy to the Southeast dining scene. The feeling in each room is warm, cozy, and instantly welcoming. Executive Chef Michael Kramer blends contemporary French-influenced cuisine and classic culinary technique with a modern day style and presentation. His balance of clean, robust flavors with harmonious colors and textures create addictive dishes. WINE & SPIRITS Under the direction of Craig Donofrio, McCrady's offers an extensive selection of over 500 fine wines, ranging from a $21 Nobilo to an $800 Romanee-Conti. McCrady's has taken particular care not only in selecting a well-balanced list of better known wines, but also in the unusual and esoteric. In order to provide you with a wider selection, we have procured a number of wines that were previously unavailable in the Charleston area. Many of these wines are artisanal in nature and have limited availability. Although many wines work well with our cuisine, we feel that Rhône varietals are uniquely suited. Unfortunately, the exotic reputation of Rhône wines makes general information elusive. To assist you with selecting a wine that appeals to your palate and complements your meal, we have provided both Rhône varietal and regional descriptions on our wine list. BANQUET FACILITY McCrady's private dining room (The Longroom)offers an extensive banquet menu and accommodates up to 100 guests for a sit down banquet. An event planning coordinator will work with you to ensure the success of your event.
