Mezza Luna
Elegant atmosphere, but the restaurant's location didn't match that elegance. The food was decent and less expensive than expected. The waiter seemed inexperienced but was proactive and was clearly trying his best.
We had the 4-cheese pizza and the lasagna. The pizza was better.

I had a pork entree that was good, but it only included the pork and potatoes. I think it should also have had a vegetable or salad. My husband had meat lasagna, but the sauce had very little meat. His entree did include a salad, which consisted of lettuce,some carrot shreds, and mozzarella cheese. (there were no tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumbers, etc.) I think the price of the pork entree was probably fair comparatively; I thought my husbands entree was a little overpriced. We had a discount coupon that made our meals more reasonable. It's a little difficult to do the survey because I would rate my meal higher than my husband's--so mine was a 4; his was a 2. I'm going to rate the service here. Our server was a very pleasant young man--just forgetful.

The food was excellent, the server was very nice and helpful when suggesting dishes, and dinner arrived quickly!

The food is delicious! We also like the personal touch that Chef Juan takes to come out into the dining area and speak to the customers.

Gourmet Italian dining in a casual atmosphere.
Chef Juan Barcenas is serving up a great menu which includes gourmet pizza and Italian favorites, such as Alfredo Pasta (Spinach Fettuccine), which he made famous as Bordinos Chef before opening Picasso's Pizza on Weddington. Mezza Luna's menu includes Portabello Lasagna, a favorite dish cooked Chef Juan style, as well as steak, pork, duck, chicken and salmon. Creme Brulee, great salads, wraps and sandwiches round out the extensive menu.
Mezza Luna is open for lunch and dinner daily. Mezza Luna serves Beer and Wine and has an outdoor patio area which will be opening soon. We are very family friendly, with a varied menu sure to please everyone, including a kids menu.
