Restaurant Chef Bio Executive Chef and Owner Tom McNeil purchased his own supermarket in 1977, and at age 29 became the youngest full line grocery store owner in Michigan. He opened his first catering company in 1978, and later expanded his business by opening a catering hall and dinner theater. His success in the catering business led him to open The Golden Rose in 1992. Fine Dining is his specialty and service is his passion. Today he owns and operates both the Golden Rose Restaurant and Country House Catering in Mason, MI. He has won first place in numerous culinary contests, including the YWCA's Chef Challenge, the Michigan Festivals Great Chefs of Michigan Contest, and the Mid-Michigan Capital Area Chef's Cook-Off. He has also has won the prestigious Michigan Pork Producer's Cook-Off, and was a 1998 Entrepreneurial Award Winner. He has been published nationally in Chef's Magazine and was recognized by the Lansing Business Trade Fair for creating job growth. |
