Z's Bar & Restaurant established on December 7th 1982, was the hottest thing in Grand Rapids for the "Bar Hopping, Young Professionals"! Z's had live entertainment, popular beers, trendy drinks and a limited food menu. Our 45 foot oval bar with a one of a kind bar top was the perfect "people watching" spot. Things change, and the 90's people wanted "Great Food" in a popular atmosphere. Z's was up to the challenge and in 1991 became a player in the "B.B.Q. Baby Back Rib" craze. Z's came in second place in "The American Royal International Mild B.B. Q. Sauce Contest" in Kansas City, Kansas. So we found the best ribs around from Roses Ribs in Chicago, Illinois and with our sauce became the hottest ribs in town. Come in and watch our Direct T. V. with the finest in sport coverage, shown on thirteen 27" T. V.s and two 8 ft. screens. Relax on " Z's Veranda", a great people & traffic watching spot. In "The Grand Rapids Magazine" April 2000 edition, Z's was nominated the "King of Sports Bars" and the best place to watch "The Detroit Red Wings"! Z's also has added "N. T .N Interactive Trivia", which also has "Q.B.1" the armchair quarterback game! Our "Q.B.1" playing customers won the 1999-2000 West Michigan League Competition from 15 other bars!
