Restaurant Description
Rainwater's features Prime, Midwestern, Corn-fed Beef-the best beef you can buy, cut and trimmed in-house, and prepared by a kitchen staff that includes cooks who have been with the restaurant since its opening. This restaurant, unlike most steakhouses, takes equal care with the seafood that they bring from all over the world to serve on their menu. The seafood includes lobster from Maine, perch from the Midwest, magnificent seasonal salmon and halibut from the Pacific Northwest, as well as the freshest fish available daily from this seaside city on the Pacific Ocean. Over the years, Rainwater's has received many honors and awards. These include Best Power Lunch Spot, Best Steakhouse in San Diego, and Best American Restaurant in San Diego by the San Diego Restaurant association, and the Best Small Business by the San Diego Chamber of Commerce. Rainwater's has been featured in Gourmet Magazine under "America's Top Tables" and "Top Ten Steakhouses." Wine Spectator has honored Rainwater's wonderful wine list with their "Best of Excellence Award" annually since 1986.
