When you walk into the Blackhawk Grille in historic downtown Barboursville, you will be impressed by the friendly and attentive service from our caring staff. With a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the area's history, the Blackhawk is a feast for the eyes as well as for the appetite. Stained-glass windows, ornate woodwork and the lyrics of Jack Johnson or Frank Sinatra playing in the background create the wormiest and coziest ambiance. The menu features Modern American Cuisine including a lot of fresh seafood and the best quality steaks. Featured items change two or three times a year: new dishes are usually added whenever chef Ian finds a new and exciting item. Catering services are also offered and not limited to items on the menu. The Blackhawk excels in the variety of wines it offers as well as the presentation of its wines. After the initial glasses of wine are served, the remaining wine is poured into the decanter. It helps the wine breath, spreading out the surface area. About 80 wine selections grace the menu, including a vintage port. Professional and casual dress is the usual at the Blackhawk Grille, but not a must.
