Restaurant Description
With a name like ‘The Fish House’, it shouldn’t be hard to figure out what’s cooking here. This New England style family diner is a real Miami catch. For a place that’s located fifteen miles from the Atlantic, they sure know an awful lot about seafood and the best way to serve it. Since fresh seafood is delivered daily - and quality like that shouldn’t be messed around with, texture and flavors are mostly left to speak for themselves. Every table has a little card with the fresh catches of the day that reads: “If our fish were any fresher, they would still be swimming”, which is no exaggeration. Customers pick their favorite fish or crustacean and simply choose from an array of preparations: blackened, grilled, sautéed in herb garlic butter, Creole style, with Parmesan sauce or Portobello Mushroom sauce. Don’t fear the fryer at The Fish House; all the ocean delicacies are merely ‘dusted’ in flour and come out light, crispy and won’t cause oily fingers. But before all that, customers are presented with a simple but brilliant prelude to the seafood overture ahead; crackers with a fresh homemade spread. This appetizer is treated like gold by the regulars, as it should be. But the big treasures are on the menu. The cool thing about The Fish House is that it’s been a family operated business since 1995. All of them seafood aficionados, they spend hours creating, discussing and perfecting their recipes. The result is a mouthwatering menu with an unbelievable selection of fresh fish, shellfish, oysters, clams, scallops and much more. These people should be arrested and their recipes confiscated. Until then, the coast is no longer the best place for seafood. Se Habla Español!
