Restaurant Description
The building that is now home of "THE SHOW" originally opened in 1926 as an ice cream parlor and candy store. Story has it that it operated as that until 1930 when it was then changed to a saloon. It was home to several different owners until 1954 when Thomas Wilcox, Sr. took over operation. He later turned the business over to his son Tommy Wilcox, Jr. The Wilcox family ran the bar (Tommy's cafe) until 1998 and established a great little business over those 40 some years. Lou Post bought the bar in 1998 and ran it as Lou's Outpost for the next three years until it was sold to the current owner Troy Teepe.

The bar at the time of purchase consisted of the area known now as the front bar and a small little dining room and kitchen. Troy's vision was to create a neighborhood sports bar and entertainment place for residents to enjoy. That vision has created a unique place unlike the national chains. The name for the bar comes from a life long passion for horse racing that runs in the Teepe family. Whether it be betting on ponies or watching their own run, the Teepe's love the racetrack-it's a family tradition.

Before the Teepe's entered in to the bar business, they were well known in the plumbing business thanks to Troy's grandfather William J. Teepe. Troy's father Steve and uncle Scott continued their dad's success in the plumbing field and Troy later entered the business for a number of years before opening the bar. In 2006, Troy's cousin Scott Jr. joined Troy in the business as his partner. The success of win place or show is a combination of its great customers and the strong backing of the Teepe family. Especially Steve Teepe, whom Troy credits as the #1 reason for his achievements at the bar. We are committed to doing the best possible job to please our customers and to keep expanding to make win place or show the best bar in town.
