Since the Apollo days astronauts have been coming here to dine and continue to do so. It is not unusual to be having dinner and have an astronaut and their family dining at the next table.

The legend and legacy of the Surf Bar & Grill was born in 1948. The rush of excitement surrounding the nation’s initial forays into space slowly blended with the local far and customs of Cocoa Beach, a relaxed, tight-knit seaside community.

The mutual dependence between history and progress is well-preserved in the atmosphere and offerings of our restaurant. You expect fresh-caught seafood from an establishment so close to Port Canaveral ... and you won’t be disappointed. We’ve had direct lines to local fishing fleets for more than 50 years, and our chefs work from culinary secrets handed down for decades.
