Restaurant Description
Named after a creek that runs nearby, Snake Creek Grill is located at 650 West 100 South, Heber City, in the former Heber Creeper Railway Village now known as Heber Old Town. The turn-of-the-century styled building feels like a friend's living room, with warm, earth-toned colors: sage green wainscoting, gold walls, 30-year old pine and fir wide planked floors and a hodgepodge of antiques and funky collectibles. Diners feel as though they've settled comfortably into grandmother's sitting room.
The restaurant is comprised of three squeaky-floored rooms with an open design. A handsome copper topped bar that seats four or five people is nestled in the entry parlor where you are kindly greeted. This room also features one large table known simply as "the couch", since a comfortable sofa makes for luxurious seating on one side of the dining table. Two other dining rooms offer a nice selection of booths adorned with cozy pillows, and a selection of tables that seat between two and eight diners. "The Valentine Table" for two is tucked into a corner by the window and is a romantic favorite for many customers. White linen tablecloths and fresh flowers add to the ambience. The dining rooms are filled with fresh flowers. During the summer months, the outside seating is always the first to be reserved.
Reflecting a down-to-earth style, everything about Snake Creek Grill is relaxed. Service is casual, yet professional. Servers offer sound, no-nonsense advice, yet don't miss providing detailed touches like re-filling wine and water glasses, or changing silverware and wine glasses between courses.
Owner/Chef Dean Hottle frequents the dining room, offering a personal touch to the cozy dining environment, visiting guests to ensure each are content with their meal and with their dining experience.
