Restaurant Description
From the moment you step into, Gumbas, this quaint restaurant on Stevens Creek Boulevard in Cupertino, you are engulfed in an ambience that makes you want to stay even though it's way past your lunch hour. The place is warmly lit by several chandeliers, none of which are alike. Burgundy tablecloths add a slight air of sophistication while the wooden chairs and booths convey a cozy atmosphere, almost like dining in the comfort of your own home.
Friendly chatter fills the place and customers seem to recognize familiar faces across tables. Guests stopping by at fellow diners' tables to chat seem to be a norm while some choose to comfortably join friends they may "bump into".
Gumbas customers are always greeted with a friendly smile and a bit of chit chat by any one and sometimes all three of the chef owners Linda, Katie and Vanessa. These three believe that food is what brings people together and thus developed a friendly place where people can dine at ease and enjoy what they create daily for their customers.
Their simple menu that includes pastas, pizza, sandwiches and calzones is well known but what people love most about Gumbas is the surprise of their daily specials, be it a hearty soup, fresh sandwich, scrumptious main course or a decadent dessert.

I tried this place on a whim with my wife. The pizza was awesome. The crust light and fluffy and just a touch crispy on the bottom. My wife isn't a big pizza fan, but she finished off the crust of every slice she ate. What I liked the best was how little grease the pizza had. Lots of places the grease is dripping off the slice and you have to wipe your hands after every slice. Not here though, lots of cheese, lots of toppings, almost no grease." - R Justyn B (Yelp member)
