I must give this 5-stars. Mother's is consistently reviewed and noted as the nicest bar / restaurant in SLO for a reason. It is quality all the way from the walls to the ceiling to the bar to the beer selection to... Let's just say, no detail has been left overlooked. When it came onto the scene, it really gave SLO Brew a run for its money and set the new standard for high-class bars in this rural college town. Mother's has masterfully balanced the country feel that is appropriate for it's rural environment with an upscale dining/drinking experience for the alumni and locals who don't always enjoy drinking from a Dixie cup or having their feet stuck to the floor; or for the wayward collegiate needing a break from Bull's.

Check their schedule because they regularly feature live music and are home to Paul's popular swing band, The Sugar Daddy Swing Kings, who have been featured at the famous Derby in L.A.
