Restaurant Description
Nancy Feng, owner of Peony's China Bistro arrived in the United States 16 years ago, a single mother with her 7 year old daughter, Lucy.
Needing to make ends meet, she took a job in a Chinese restaurant. Working long hours and by keeping her eyes and ears open, Nancy was able to learn the restaurant business.
In a short time, she helped open and run, as general manager, Sky Dragon Restaurant in Rochester, Minnesota. As her experience grew, she later became a partner in the Grand City Buffet Restaurant in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, as well as opening and becoming co-owner and manager of Kobe Japanese Restaurant in Plymouth, Minnesota.
After successfully running the operation at Kobe, Nancy struck out on her own, and started Peony's China Bistro, also in Plymouth. Peony's is an authentic Chinese restaurant featuring a variety of tasty, healthful dining options (using no MSG or heavy, fatty oils) on two different dine in menus. Also available are fresh live lobster and crab, a variety of other types of seafood, including steamed walleye, as well as a full buffet serving lunch and dinner seven days a week. Peony's also has a full bar featuring a wine list to compliment your meals as well as several beers on tap and in the bottle, a variety of specialty cocktails, happy hour Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and weekend bar specials.
The restaurant has a small private dining room for special events and you can call ahead to book your party of 6 or more to sit at one of our large round tables.
