We arrived early (5:00) and the dining room was almost completely filled. We were so happy to see so many families and seemingly neighborhood people there. A good sign.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door on a Friday evening and seated quickly. Our meals arrived quickly and were delicious! The staff is always very friendly, especially on this very busy Friday evening.

i go just about every month for the same meal! i love it and no one else makes it. i love the staff, we always tease and laugh. it's a real little neighborhood place!

server should make an effort to inform customer if certain item ordered is not available ... preferrably at time of order or even when food is served. server should also check to see how customer is enjoying their food before delivering the bill. afterall, this is part of your job and you are getting 18% tips, right?

All of the servers and are so helpful and friendly. The person that serves the bread and water is very good as well. The good was outstanding and I just love the enviorement.

Great service, great food. Just one glitch. The server wrote the wrong order for one person. They were very apologetic, and the owner personally served us. They gave us a dessert on the house.

Small place and very busy on Friday night, but they take reservations for 5 or more and our table was ready when we walked in. Very friendly staff too.

The staff knew the people seated behind us and kept coming to talk to them. The conversation was extremely loud, distracting and off-putting. I couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant.

The year was 1992 when a talented Italian chef and his business partner opened the first Mio Vicino in it's current location on the corner of Benton and Monroe streets in old town Santa Clara. Today, Mio Vicino Santa Clara still carries on the neighborhood tradition. In fact, you'll still see many familiar faces in the kitchen and serving the food. The restaurant even remains privately owned and operated by one of the store's original employees! In addition to the main restaurant seating, guests have the opportunity to reserve Mio Vicino's private dining room, which seats up to 35, for any event from birthday parties to corporate lunches.
